About Me

My very first teaching job was a creative writing class for the WEA (Workers’ Education Association) back in 2004. After that, I spent many years teaching creative writing with Adult Community Learning Essex, and I loved helping people discover their voice.

I’ve got a Level 4 City & Guilds qualification in teaching adults, and I’m also a published writer. I’ve written English Literature study guides for ZigZag Education, and I’ve worked as a copywriter for Car & Driving, an automotive news agency that supplies articles to local newspapers.

Copywriting really helped me sharpen my skills—especially writing clearly, concisely, and to a tight deadline.

Combining that experience with my background in teaching means I can help you grow your confidence and strengthen your writing, whatever stage you’re at.

I hope you find the content on this website helpful. And if you’d like to chat about one-to-one support with your own writing project, I’d love to hear from you.

That’s what davidwritingtutor.com is all about—a place where your writing can grow, word by word.
